Notes From The Flip Side: 07.16.2000
I just got back from Poland - I spent three nights and two days in a city where I didn't really know anyone and didn't speak the language. I wandered through the streets at all hours and in all weather - I saw misty dawns over the river and wandered through the pouring rain at night, singing Down By Law, Avail and Pete Townshend songs. I watched string quartets of young people play classical music in front of 400-year-old cathedrals. Romance around every corner, hope playing tag with lovers in the mist.
Apologies for updates coming fewer and farther between - I'm working on the next print issue. It may turn into two issues before I'm done, and I don't think that's necessarily such a bad thing. Thanks to everyone who has helped out with the zine so far, whether by sending encouraging letters in the post or via email, distributing copies or kicking my ass until I get back to work.
