Notes From The Flip Side: 12.27.1999
The complete review section from Issue 2 is taking longer than I expected. I'm hoping to have it done by the next update.
I spent part of Christmas Eve in the Star Bar with Bart and a few shots of Jim Beam, part of it watching "Bringing Out The Dead," part of it wandering around downtown San Diego talking to homeless people, and a lot of it at the Casbah, watching the Dragons do their annual Rolling Stones tribute set. I drove home in the cool December night, singing along with 59 Times The Pain: "To how things used to be, we say goodbye ..."
Now Playing:
Leatherface/Hot Water Music split LP, Down By Law "Fly the Flag," American Steel "Rogue's March," Ann Beretta "To All Our Fallen Heroes ..." and Kid Dynamite (yeah, my first impression of this band was unbelievably wrong).
