Banco De Gaia

"Last Train to Lhasa" CD (Planet Dog)

It's a two-CD set of progressive electronic music, not necessarily limited to the topic of Tibetan occupation, but the title track more than clearly articulates it, beginning with the sound of a train leaving a depot. It quickly turns to territories mapped out by Philip Glass and other avant-garde composers, exploring their wild vast reaches and painting them in colors nature never invented. Great stuff.
