Blood Fruit
"Major Mystic Cool" CD (Head/Trapp)
The '60s are over. With that said, we can ignore the Dead shirts, the Zeppelin posters, the King Crimson reference and a hefty chunk of this self-released disc. At least Blood Fruit did nearly everything themselves, except for manufacturing the CDs. The musicians seem talented, making me wonder why they bothered with this psychedelic tripe. The lyrics are bland at best, featuring lines like "It's not the same / You make our bane / Go insane / Energy is drained / What goes on in your brain?" I might ask the same question to find out what possessed them to release this.
