"Whorn" CD (Amphetamine Reptile)
This was a very strange listen. Picture a cross between Fishbone, (insert name of any punk band here), and Thin White Rope (remember the underground 80's?). I was hesitant to write this off easily, but I can't say I really liked it in the end. This is, quite simply, a unique approach to what one would think has already been done. A couple of songs sport a horn or two (trumpets I think), which is successful in relieving the sort of squeamish feeling that accompanies listening to this CD. Not for the faint of heart, but an interesting listen - once. (ADAM)
