Creedle

"when the wind blows" CD (Cargo)

In this, their third release, Creedle brings aggro-jazz to a previously unimaginable plateau. This underappreciated genre of jazz, spawned and nurtured by the likes of John Zorn and Victims Family, has evolved, once again, into the brilliant colossus it would have to be to pique the minds of this (I say proudly) San Diego band. Sure, the weather here is boring, but at least we can parade a few gems around the music scene. And by the way, you really haven't lived until you've had Rabbi Steinman's Happy Hour Frito Boats at Live Wire. (ADAM)
