The Delta 72

"The R & B Of Membership" CD (Touch And Go)

Now this fucking rocks. It's stomping, howling, blues-influenced, roadhouse, honky tonking, choogling with a delicious rawk edge. Not quite skronk but definitely noisier than yer average white punk band, The Delta 72 more than lives up to the standards set by the musicians originating from that strip of mud which gave the band the first two words in its name. It's a gnarly fusion of that ol' devil rock and the blues which have taken the souls of so many musicians and like most of the records made by musicians who reportedly sold their soul to Mephistopheles, this one smokes like Hell.
