"Justamente Tres" CD (Kill Rock Stars)
Curiouser and curiouser - sounds more like Charlie Mingus outtakes than Mike fROM fIREHOSE/Minutemen and Kira, who used to wave the Black Flag of rebellion and still seems to be doing a pretty damn good job of it. This ain't your usual album - no backup, just bass. The results are surprisingly intricate, melodic and charming, so enough about the rhythm section already. This is music for a lazy, languid summer afternoon, gnats buzzing around your head as you try to nap on a hammock. True fun.
