"In Search Of ..." CD (Mammoth)
The one thing I couldn't find on the liner notes of this CD was something that alluded to its status as a Black Sabbath tribute album. While I enjoy kicking back with some Sabbath as much as the next person, I think Fu Manchu needs to find a new angle that includes something a little more involved than turning up the gain on their amps and blatantly ripping off Black Sabbath. This is so clearly a tribute band, I wish they'd just stop the posturing and admit it. If they would drop the originals and cover some real Sabbath tunes, I bet they'd be a real hit - plus, they'd probably get to meet Wild Child and those guys in the Kiss tribute band. (ADAM)
