"Dead Cities" CD (Astralwerks)
Decaying, cracked concrete. Twisted, rusty rebar. Burned out cars, shells of what they used to be. Music drifts through the streets - all breakbeats and ambient textures. Sometimes it sounds like industry - jarring and jittery, disconcerting and nervous tones filling the space. Other times, it seems like the most soothing, sensual experience possible. The cities may be dead, necropoli for the unfeeling, the disassociated, the dehumanized, but the music is alive and evolving, a post-human lifeform and consciousness, ready to break free from its urban prison.
