"Knocking The Skill Level" CD (Headhunter)
Cathartic emo punk. It's tough to tell what the songs are about, but they sound like regret, like a profound hurt that leaves people hemorrhaged with pools of dark, coagulating blood collecting in their abdominal cavity. They also sound hopeful though, as if this is just another step to throwing off imprisoning ropes holding people in emotional bondage. There aren't many quartets capable of making this kind of racket, much less trios. In fact, I can count them on one hand. Definitely a keeper.
