Sounds like modern straight-edge, tastes like a really heavy form of emo. The lyrics call images to mind much more than they preach; in fact, the only discernible "messages" I found suggested that actions have consequences and that men can be lustful and unthinking. The riffs and the fragmented, poetic expression of ideas surfacing out of the roiling, tightly controlled guitar mayhem make this disc an awesome, powerful, tense and claustrophobic listening experience. It fucking rules.
