"The Greks Bring Gifts" CD (K)

It's tough to pin this outer-spatial rock down, but I suspect Michael Rennie is turning green, even as I write this. Melodic or noisy, dissonant or tuneful, lushly textured or somewhat sparse - seems L.A.L. just didn't feel like making it easy to describe this record, so I won't bother to try. Just understand this is like that inverted shot of New York which Steven Spielberg used for the spaceship in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." It's nifty and cool to listen to, and if you don't know what you're looking at, or, as is more accurate in this case, hearing, it may well be one of the most amazing and interesting things you've heard.
