"Gotta Get Over Gretta" CD (Razor & Tie)

There's no business like a family business. Just ask Katryna, Nerissa, and David Nields. Their blend of Cranberries style vocal overshoot and Alanis Morrisette pop/rock is ripe and ready for FM "Alternative." Just what we need. (Note to Alanis: YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK! YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NEVER EVEN LOOKED UP THE WORD "IRONIC" IN THE DICTIONARY BECAUUSE YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T HAVE A FUCKING CLUE WHAT IT MEANS! A FLY IN YOUR CHARDONNAY IS NOT FUCKING IRONIC, YOU MORON! Sorry, had to get that off my chest.) Look, the Nields write very catchy pop music. It's just that I find family sing-alongs kind of irritating, unless of course they're the Gallagher brothers in which case I think the CIA should either have them shot or deported. If you like the idea of a slightly less miserable version of the Cranberries or if you like the faux poignancy and fabricated misery of Alanis, then pick this album up. (TOM)
