"Weekend Of Compromise" CD (Reason Y)
Imagine Green Day playing middle-of-the-road emo. Switching between the default emo rock setting of stop-and-go power chords (cf. most of the stuff I review, also any contemporary pop-punk like Story Of The Year or Yellowcard) and the lilting melodic edge of emo (think Promise Ring or American Football), it sounds like nothing so much as Billie Joe Armstrong realizing that he's totally bored with those three chords and wants to play these other three chords with some dynamics, dude.
